And the new project is making clothes to fit a Jemima Doll - Dressing Jemima!
Jemima is a cute girl rag doll, made famous by 40 years of appearing on 'Playschool' and yet never aging at all. I wanted a Jemima as a child, and was thrilled to find the pattern for her in the Playschool 1980 'Useful Book'. After enlarging and tracing off the pattern, I began making several Jemima's to give as gifts (ok, one for me too). The Doll pattern is fairly straight forward. I just made some minor alterations so she was a little easier for me to assemble. However once that part was done, the challenge really began. What will she wear? The process of designing, creating and adapting simple patterns for my Jemima's clothes begins!

ReplyDeleteWould you please be able to send me a copy of the pattern. I have 'the new useful book' and it only has humpty and the bananas pattern. Thanks
